I’ve been emailing with this dear mama for a few months and I could not wait to meet her in person!  I could tell from her emails how much she values and appreciates photography and I felt honored that out of so many photographers, she had gone with me (Thank you for sending her my way Ashley!).  Believe me, I realize there are a lot of choices out there when it comes to photography!  Anyways, I loved meeting and photographing this family.  Their house looks like it is straight out of a magazine but the best part was their loving connections.  Each of these kids has a unique and wonderful personality and their parents knew just how to interact with each of them.  It was really beautiful to witness as a mother myself, and to photograph.  A definite perk of this job is watching people parent and learning from them.  Also, I’m hereby requesting all of my sessions end with a dance party!! Such a fun note to end on!

I don’t really need to say this because you will know just from looking at their pictures, but this family is so much fun! I had such a great time photographing them.  I’m always so thankful when parents let their children’s personalities shine during a session instead of getting caught up with whether or not the child is looking at the camera.  It makes the session less stressful for everyone and it yields better images!  I love these images so much and I hope they serve as a beautiful reminder of this crazy, fun parenting journey!

When one of your dearest friends has a beautiful baby girl, you arrange to go meet that baby girl and have a photo session!!  It is something truly special to see your friends become parents.  It’s this whole new layer to their personality.  Julia and Chris are such naturals with Charlotte.  I, myself, remember feeling a little more panicked as a new mom!  But I don’t think I saw them even get flustered the entire weekend I was there.  Charlotte is so lucky to have these two.  Julia and Chris, you are doing an incredible job and that sweet baby can feel all of the love you pour over her.  Congratulations!!newborn-in-home-photography-st-louis-moin home family photography saint louis missouri

This beautiful job of mine allows me into some of the most treasured moments of people’s lives.  Some are strangers and I’m lucky to say some are friends.  I have known Leslie since elementary school and while we don’t see each other often, we have reconnected over the years through photography sessions of her family.  I’ve done family sessions with her whole family.  I photographed her sister’s wedding and family and now her and Charlie’s wedding!  It really is such a big honor to be asked to document these days.  Leslie and Charlie had a small wedding that was incredibly special.  There is something very intimate and sweet about a smaller wedding.  I loved spending their day with them!  Leslie was an absolutely stunning bride and Charlie spent the day making her smile and laugh.  It was wonderful!  Thank you so very much for having me there Leslie and Charlie!

One of the best things about living in Missouri is getting to experience all of the seasons!  I don’t know about you, but if it’s going to be cold, I’d rather just go all in and have snow too! My sister has been wanting a session in the snow for the past couple of years but conditions and timing were never right.  Then, on Christmas Eve morning, the forecast was for lots of snow.  And lots of snow we got! It was such a fun session photographing them as they played in the snow, went sledding, had a little snowball fight and then warmed up with some hot cocoa!  Enjoy this sweet snowy session and get ready for some snow (I hear maybe next week?!). chesterfield family photography session in the snow
